How hard would it be to integrate pitch detection? It would really be something with it. The rhythmic aspect seems to be spot on.

An observation: Another midi track will record the C3 in time but it can't be recorded directly into the receiver track. I suppose because the monitoring isn't seeing the data on the receiver midi track.

Syncing fine. Playing c3 properly. That's good.
But it's not playing the melody that I have triggering it.
Is it supposed to play more than one note? Seems like an improvement but I was under the impression when functioning that it would play the notes it was receiving.

Correction: The m4L device is Littletrackrecorder. One word.

works with mouse or touchpad.

Little Track Recorder can capture the result while scrubbing.

Catalina OS. Ableton Live 11 Suite

This morning, I noticed sample length only works in loop mode. Perhaps, that's by design. Sample start works in all. Basic filter also produces sound like bypass.

Bypass of filter does produce sound for me

It's seeing the trigger via midi key because the C3 button is engaging with key press but no sound being produced.

Odd....the image above has black letters while on my Live it is white until a parameter is pressed.

Loads up fine on Live 11 Suite and sample loads in.
Can't get it to trigger a sound with c3. I've tried every logical approach.
First of your great devices I've had any issue with.

If I had one quick observation (nitpick) the white lettering is a bit hard with those of us with aging eyes! LOL

It takes a minute to start max editor and then crashes max. Tried it twice. Happens so fast I can't read the message screen.
This may be because I'm on catalina and can only upgrade max to a certain degree because of older OS.

The plugin appears just fine like your others. Just no sound, unlike others.

Effect reduces signal to left channel only. Ableton 10 crashed out while trying to adjust parameters to see if there was any change. None.

It's appearing and seemingly functional in Live 10.1.4 Suite but I hit synch on either, both blink but never synch. I put trigger on an audio track and receiver on a midi with an operator following, no other processors. Synch is definitely seeing each other but not locking in.

Loads up on Live Suite 10.1.4 but not able to route any audio to it as instructed. :(

To be more clear, it produces notes that are 25.2 cents sharp or flat from actual pitch. I tried 7 different pitch .amxd utilities that had no effect at all on it.

I would definitely try to implement this into work if I could somehow tune it correctly! Thanks! Hope to see an update. Sounds cool

Awesome idea. My only issue with it when testing is that the C on it isn't a C. It's F flat. Anything you can do to bring that around to normal pitch??

This device has a lot of potential. I used it yesterday to modulate a synth chord arrangement with great effect. I used it in front of a chain followed with delay, phaser and another instance of it, set differently. It sounded great.

Here's where the issues were discovered. When saving/collect all save my project, all of the parameters on the device were reset.

When trying to freeze the track with the device, the effect was completely omitted from playback.

When trying to render the project to a mix, , the entire track with device was omitted from the mix altogether.

The only solution was to live resample to another audio track to capture it's effect.

I'd strongly suggest that you finish this and stabilize it. It's actually a very good processor and I could see myself using it in many ways.

Scratch that. L/R independant with pan. That's pretty cool. This has some interesting uses in combination with effects.

I'm confused why there's 16 steps on each side for a 16 step sequence. Is there a difference in the function of the left and right parameters?

Tried this on an audio and midi track in Live 10 Suite but can't seem to get it to affect the mapped LP Filter Freq parameter at all.

Works great now! Not sure how I couldn't figure that one out myself but yknow.....some days.....This is likely my favorite M4L Duck/Shape tool now.

I was able to get it to work with the threshold adjustments. I went about it wrong first pass.
It's cool but I really think the "points" on the curve grid could be better.
I can't seem to delete a point or bend between two. I could be going about it wrong but if I messed up, I had to start fresh again.
I have a few devices that you can double click/right click and the point deletes. Think it's a ctrl or shift drag on a point bends it into an arc.

Just wanted to let you know I followed your advice (albeit a week later) and was able to produce sound with it.
I think it may be a consideration to allow dragging from the Ableton browser to the DROP FOLDER HERE, instead of having to seek out the folder in mac finder.
Many max devices allow that. Otherwise, it was pretty cool and I generated some odd pad like thing I tried to work with.
Impressive GUI.

Audio won't trigger from a sidechain channel. Tried everything. Device only activates with the trigger button.

First off, this is an absolutely beautifully designed M4L plugin GUI. One of the better I've seen out of thousands.

But I can't figure out for the life of me how to use it. I read the above instructions several times and I've only got as far as to drop a folder of samples into it.
I've experimented with many M4L and I still can't seem to grasp the concept.
Normally, if I can't get it I'll just keep on trucking but I'd like to talk to you about this one. It seems worth the effort.

Having the parameters in white makes using this impossible. I got audio into the 1st sampler but nothing comes out even though the levels are up.

This white text trend is pointless and impractical and it should be ended.

Triggering sound now. I noticed the morph knob seems off. It was working as a mixer before but now it's monitoring both at 12 oclock. Any increment either way, it's one sound or the other. Independent volume/level control would be a good thing as well to balance sample volume.

This looks really painstakingly hard. Maybe why I've not delved into it all though it fascinates me. Perhaps, I'm better off playing with them and giving feedback.
