Name | Version: | Snare Enrichment Engine 1.0 |
Author: | tbrees |
Device Type: | Instrument |
Description: | NOTE: This is designed to work with several gigabytes of samples included in the link. It is possible to use it without these by enabling "Custom" mode, which allows the use of your own samples. See the link for a demo video :) The full version can be accessed via the link for a small price - includes 8000+ original snare recordings, and 70+ device presets! The Snare Enrichment Engine is my first Max for Live device, designed to work with the included sample pack; it is a velocity sensitive sampler which allows the user to create, design and enhance snare drum samples. Features include: - interactive sampler to change mic type, snare type, snare tightness, damping and more - filter, amplitude envelope, and limiter for shaping and compression - custom sample mode to allow user-sample usage - convolution processes to create complex filtering effects - parallel distortion and noise generator which can be applied before the convolution, allowing for more complex sounds - over 70 PRESETS for Ableton Max for Live. Hopefully it can help you nail that authentic punchy snare sound! This device utilises objects from the HISStools HIRT, which can be easily added using Max's package manager. KNOWN BUGS: - a couple of the snare recordings didn't process properly so far I found 4 (which out of 8000 sounds barely affects the use) - if you change mic type before any other variable after loading files, everything crashes. Change damping or snare tightness etc before mic type and everything should work great. |

Wow. This is impressive, and priced extremely competitively. If you have a very small drum hit collection this is a no brainer.
