Overview

Name | Version: MIDIchromatixN 0.01
Author: synthesizerwriter
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: This is a remapper: it can map any of the incoming 128 MIDI Note Numbers to any of the 128 outgoing MIDI Note Numbers individually... Scaling device like Scale or my MIDINoteScalery do this for one octave, and then repeat that octave over and over again. This device doesn't do that - you can map any of the individual 128 MIDI Note Numbers to any others. No repeats (unless you want them!), and few limitations. (The UI is the only real limiter.)

There are two modes (Random and Modulo, based on the mathematical functions used), lots of controls over the mapping, output scaling and pitch controls, and fine control to give tiny variations. The input is your notes from a Clip, the output is generative derived from your notes, but remapped. Following this with a scaling device like Scale or MIDI Note Scalery is highly recommended!

This isn't a common-or-garden utility, so there's lots of documentation on my blog.

This is an early version, so there may still be one or two be 'unexpected features' in the code. Any inconsistencies are probably there by design (like the zero suppression!).

But what does it do? Think of it as a generative processor that takes your notes and messes about with them. If you need a buzz-word, then you can call it 'Non-Euclidean'.

Hi. I try to map one MIDI note to the another manually, but without success. How to do it?
