Description: | My first ever public device (I'm still learning) This machine is made for layering samples together easily using a Drum Rack. It is best used for things like snares, claps. or anythings short and quick that you want to layer many of at the same time. Simply add this before a drum rack that has many samples (up to 128). It will override the MIDI notes the drum rack recieves, sending out 6 notes defined by the "Note" dial no matter what note is recieved either from a MIDI clip or MIDI in to the track. Each one of the 6 have controls you can modify. These are as follows: On/Off - Turns that sample On or Off Trigger - Triggers the current sample Random - Randomizes all the parameters Note (Dial) - Selects a new sample from your drum rack with 0 being the lowest, and 127 being the highest Note (Random) - Randomly selects a sample for you Note (Nek) - Moves to the next sample up Note (Prev) - Moves to the previous sample down Delay (Dial) - Waits a period of time before the sample gets triggered Delay (Random) - Chooses a random delay length Length (Dial) - Change the length of the MIDI note sent to the Drum Rack Length (Random) - Chooses a random note length Velocity (Dial) - Changes the velocity of the MIDI note sent (usually used for volume control) Velocity (Random) - Chooses a random note velocity Random All - Randomizes every setting Reset All - Resets all values back to default Any questions please visit the forums at www.cosm.co.nz Have fun! Future versions will have more control such as Pan, eqing etc |

I like it! I also am getting started with Max and have been creating a MIDI device similar. Mine is geared more towards working with randomizing polyphonic MIDI. Yours is doing what mine was doing where it outputs the bang/MIDI note when you rotate the Note dial instead of only when triggered. Try just changing the message without bang and route directly to the message. It will prevent unnecessary explosions from speakers. Thanks for your device, it will be useful.
