| Description: | Zone is a tiny Max for Live MIDI Effect: a keyboard zone / split filter. Each instance passes only the notes inside its [Low..High) zone, then shifts the result by octave (coarse) and tone (semitone). Mute (empty zone) and Bypass (no limits) give instant global modes. It simply lets you optimise how you use the keyboard from one song to the next - a split tailored to each track. One on-screen keyboard drives everything through a mode selector: in Edit Low / Edit High, clicking the keyboard OR playing a note sets the bound (edit is the learn); Watch In / Watch Out light up the incoming vs outgoing note. Colour-coded throughout: Low teal, High violet, In blue, Out amber. - Full passthrough: control change (expression, sustain, breath...), pitch bend, aftertouch, program and poly pressure all pass unchanged. - No stuck notes: a held note always gets its note-off, even if you move a bound, change the shift, mute or bypass while it rings. - Macro-mappable: every control is a Live parameter - automatable, MIDI-mappable, rack-macro-mappable. Several Zone instances stay in sync through one macro. Put one Zone per chain in an Instrument Rack and you get splits, layers and full-keyboard modes like a hardware stage keyboard. A ready-made "Zone Keyboard" rack (Basse + Piano chains, Split Point / Full Bass / Full Piano / Split-Layer macros) is included in the repository. >> The latest .amxd, the rack template (.adg + demo Live set), full docs and changelog are ALWAYS on GitHub - see the Website link below.
