| Description: | This is a Multiphonic version of my monophonic Squisher device, a sample mangler with Warp Markers (Shift-Click to remove them) and independent time-stretching and pitch-shifting. Its still monophonic, but each note triggers 9 slightly (or extremely) different, parallel copies of your sample, which then gets mixed down to stereo. Each copy can have its Start position, Speed, Transposition (in cents), Filter Freq, Filter Macro1 (usually Res), Filter Macro2 (sometimes Drive) and Panning modified with Multi Channel Functions. For each message, the central value is set by the main interface knob, while the deviation amount is set in the Deviate section. When a Deviate button is engaged (Blue) the associated parameter is re-randomized for each incoming note. I included a Basic Filter that works with all recent versions of Live/Max. The Meld Filters require Max 9.1. Unfortunately, the bundled version of Max is still at 9.09, which doesn't have the Meld Filter yet. I guess it won't be generally available until the bundled version reaches 9.1. Something to look forward to. On the other hand, you could just switch over to the latest Demo version of Max/Msp and then you're good to go right now. Many of the knobs are extremely fine grained under the hood. Use the Shift key with the arrow keys or mouse to speed up or slow down the scrolling. Naturally, it is a CPU hog. I'm hoping to create a version with 100 voices and the ability to choose as many of those as your computer can handle. Share and Enjoy NOTES: I have tried many different ways to get the Warp Markers to save with the Live set or even to the Snapshots, but all of them seem to cause strange, terrifying errors (the patch actually becomes self-modifying) no matter what I try. I'm pretty sure I would need to learn Javascript. Also, it has lots of strange quirks, in particular related to the Start position/Deviation and the display. Since start positions can't be negative, they just get clipped to zero by groove~, so I have to offset the deviate Start position. Nevertheless, it still behaves weird but better than all of the other crazy ways I've tried. I suspect the other parameters do this as well, but its not as obvious without a display. On the other hand, its such a complex device, I might not even be able to tell if its working correctly. Nevertheless, the preponderance of errors seems to balance out to a net positive, at least for me. Hopefully, there aren't any scarier bugs. Please let me know. https://maxforlive.com/library/device/14263/squisher |

I love this. Working great on Live 11 Suite with a Mac M4. Really interesting possibilities here. Cheers!
