Quick and dirty audio effect comparable to the Earthquaker Devices Arpanoid pedal - but with a step sequencer instead of the original arpeggiator scale modes. The sequencer sends out values to the Ableton pitch shifting dsp object. Could be used for pitch shifting guitars, for example. At higher speeds it lends itself to wonky wobbly sounds and pseudo self-oscillation. DIYed in a couple of hours, far from perfect. Steps can be activated or disabled but pattern length cannot be controlled yet. Maybe I will add that later. I might also add interaction with the Ableton transport start/stop for the sync mode. Currently it only syncs timing in note values. Enjoy! |
