The new version of Sting is an expressive, improvisational acid line performance system. It is a Max for Live device that runs on Ableton Live or Push 3 Standalone. Sting can generate anything from random to acid patterns and morph between them fluidly. It features a new generation algorithm, advanced editing, expressive control, generative sequencing, and modulation capabilities, along with a set of live performance oriented features. These include a dedicated Push takeover mode that transforms Sting into a hands-on live performance system when used with Ableton Push 2 or 3.

All of Sting’s parameters are logically laid out and fully controllable via Tabbing, making it accessible to blind, visually impaired, and sighted users.

Sting is available as either a free or paid download. Both versions are identical; it's simply a way to ensure that everyone can access it, regardless of their ability to support my work.

The Best!
Damn, well this is epic! Thanks so much! You rock!!!
Brilliant update to my go-to source of inspiration
Looking so much forward to trying this.
Thank you for Sting!
A superb update to one of my most used m4l devices!
HI there. I am interested in this as I use the previous version.
Do you plan to implement scale awareness?
I really wish I could increase the pattern length beyond 16 steps. Has anybody made this modification?
Brilliant, one of the best sequencers around. worth paying for.
Can we please control the parameter 'root note' in the envelope section of live? We have everything else.
@Rosko fixed in version 2.05
have a weird issue where its just ouputting fast notes... onnote real fast , even if i mute the device ..im on 12.2
😍
yeahhh
When I swap between different instrument racks, Sting 2 gets stuck playing the same acid line from the previous rack. Most of the time, I have to reload several times before Sting 2 plays the correct pattern saved with that rack.

Anyone else run into this?
How do I download
hello! is there any windows version of this plugin? when i download it i only get the mac files
sweet update! thanks a lot.

I only miss now "Generate Clip" on the hardware.
where the para was suited before is now "Tie"

when I load the previous Sting - Generate Clip - is placed where now Tie is.

checked the Patch, it has now Order number 25, previously it was 15
but I am unable to make "Create Clip" visible on the HW again.

any idea what I'm missing?

@CrisNI clicking on the push “New” button will convert the sequence to a midi clip (when push takeover is on)

thanks! I see. not using push but an ni ksmk3 and other controller. function seems now hidden for the standard-controllers. but also found something concerning for my use-cases: Sting update loaded in Live 12.2.5, I have the "Gen/Gen!"-para on control knob 6, followed by "Focus Mode" on K7, on K8 is Push takeover. works super! when I load the same device in Live 12.3 - the Gen-para is gone and replaced with "Gate".
@CrisNI its probably because m4l can now access push upper row buttons (which is available since 12.3). please contact me via the support address on my website so i can have a proper look.
