Overview

Name | Version: DS Skada FM 1.0.1
Author: disconnector
Device Type: Instrument
Description: DS Skada FM is an FM-based drum synthesizer modeled after the other "DS" m4l devices. Give it a listen: https://soundcloud.com/iron-range-industries/sets/ds-skada-fm-drum-synthesizer

Inspired by the Korg ER-1 and Elektron Model:Cycles, this drum synth is designed to minimize controls yet be capable of producing a vast range of sounds. Happy noise making, and reach out with any questions or bugs.

Note: it was previously released here as one of my many variants of "valence" FM based instruments. I'm going though and updating them, fixing old bugs, etc. Notable improvements for this version are:

1. Way better voice handling. There was weird stealing before.
2. Improved envelopes with a more predictable decay curve
3. Chromatic mode. Set the pitch to "0" and you can play it across a keyboard, drum pad, etc.
4. Proper mapping for Push, Move, and other controllers.

Hello, I bought the device. I love the idea and wanted to try out but I want to report that no sound is coming out of the patch even if the trigger surface is blinking when midi is received. Same thing with the amxd and the project example. Ableton 12.1 Windows 11
Ps: the image on the trigger surface is showing the same two sin even if the sources are modified.
Ah, thanks for the heads up. I'll try exporting again.
@eRKa - you should be all set now. Let me know if you have any trouble downloading the updated content.
This is so great.   You could make an entire album using just this device.   I love that for someone like me who doesn't understand FM synthesis really past the very very  basic concept - I can still get great sounds simply through trial and error.   I've had it less than an hour and already have a drum set going with 8 unique sounds.

Very well done - stoked to play with this some more.
