Name | Version: | Slice Shuffler MIDI Transformer 1.0 |
Author: | ntrm |
Device Type: | MIDI Transformation |
Description: | Slice the clip into segments based on a grid interval, then reorder start-time of the notes inside the slices. This device doesn’t transform notes, make new notes, or delete notes; it just changes the order in which the notes appear in the clip. This device is particularly useful for adding subtle variation to an existing idea. By rearranging the notes in a slice or two, you can change a rhythm or melody without destroying its basic identity. The Slice Interval sets the length of each slice. Changing it will update the number of columns Note Order matrix so that the number of columns equals the number of slices in the MIDI clip. Next, you can use the Note Order matrix to rearrange the notes within the slices. There are six options for note reordering: Fwd preserves the original order. Bwd reverses the order of the notes within the slice. Shfl randomizes the order Rot25, Rot50, and Rot75 rotate the order rightward by 25%, 50%, and 75%, respectively. |
