Device Type: | MIDI Effect |
Description: | DRK Livewii is a piece of software that takes total control of the nintendo wiimote and transforms it into a bluetooth, wireless instrument-midi controller. I thank to Takeru Kobayashi, the author of "tk.wii", the external object wich recognizes the wii inside max and made technically possible to imagine and create Livewii. I have mapped all the wii variables and derived them to differents modes of control. All the important values and switches are live objects, so they are full automable and could be midi controlled, including the electromagnetic movement sensor and the infrared sensor. This looks fantastic! I've tried a couple of other WII M4L devices that didn't work so well. Looking forward to trying this tonight, great work!

i have been using this device today. it looks really good and i have watched the video too
however - i think there may be a problem with my setup : the home button, A button and the back button do not work. all the other buttons and the accelerometers work ok
i opened the device to have a look at it and in the max window it said 'banger - no such object'.
is there a 'banger' object or something which i need to make the home, A and back buttons to work? am i doing something wrong? (probably)
many thanks, and great work

hI SLATERPIPE: Yes...the BANGER is an external object...just in MAx version you need it , as in m4l and stand alone it should be embedded with the patches...BANGER is free and available on Internet. Please put it on max external (or startup more secure) folder and it will work all and ok!!
Write me to tell me how it was...Greets!!

Maybe there's new info on the subject = new WII driver? Please, let us know if so...
Maybe you've found some other interesting software for wii + live / max? Would be nice to find the solution...
